Halloween Pumpkin Sugar Cookies | MommyCrusader.com

Our kids are out of school the rest of this week for Harvest Holiday. We haven’t decorated sugar cookies this year, and thought some Halloween Pumpkin Sugar Cookies might be tasty and a fun way to spend the day together.

I finally got the bushes in front of my house trimmed enough so that I could put up my outside Halloween decorations. I had some ghosts I made last year, but I wanted to add something more to them. I found a fun idea at Thrifty Crafty Girl for Halloween decorating.

But, I thought I’d modify the idea a little. First, I wanted the decorations to be visible in the daytime as well as the night. Also, I like to flip a switch or plug in the decorations, rather than put glow sticks out every night. I came up with these ghostly eyes.

I love to make old things into different things. So, for this project I used some candy wrappers, newspaper, ribbon, tulle, and other odds and ends from around the house. (I don’t like going to the store if I don’t have to.) What resulted was an upcycled Halloween ribbon wreath.
